Turkish-Armenian Project Group After "Two Sides of A Mountain" Project Print E-mail

Turkish Armenian Project Group has been established in AEGEE-Ankara in 2008. The main aim of the group is to strengthen the connection between the young people of Armenia and Turkey. The group has continued working on thematic issues during 2008 and after that, it has started working on the project called ‘Two Sides of a Mountain’ which was held on October, 2009. The project has been implemented in a village of Hatay, Vakıflı, which is one of the Armenian villages in Turkey and it has provided a platform for the young people working in NGOs to better know each other. The project lasted for 7 days and the participants were trained in the subjects of project cycle, intercultural dialogue, risk management, conflict management and resolution.

 

Turkish Armenian Project Group will continue working on future projects with its contacts from Armenia. What is more, it is planning to implement an event in METU in the spring of 2010 about Armenian culture and it needs human resources and new ideas. If you are willing to be a part of this group, you are welcome to the meetings. Do not hesitate about being late, because we are just starting…

 

 

 
Human Rights Project Group Print E-mail

Human Rights Project Group has started 2009-2010 year with Human Rights Studio which is an event that is carried out in Human Rights week including thematic workings about human rights. The main topics of Human Rights were discussed with compassing games and workshops in the studio. It was an important event because of making people more aware, more sensible and more knowlegable about Human Rights. In addition, the Living Library Project which is the next and more comprehensive project of Human Rights Project Group is going to be organized in this year. The aim of this project is to encourage people to empathize and understand each other by constructing direct interpersonal dialogue and raise awareness on prejudices creating discrimination towards people and groups. Moreover, it aims to bring people together to make them mutually and carefully respectful to human honor and promote the idea of “there are different but equal people in the same society. The Human Rights Project Group has continued their preparations for this project which will be implemented in 2010 ODTÜ Spring Festival and reach many young students.

"Black and White, Show Your Art" Summer University Project Group Print E-mail

This year, AEGEE-Ankara’s summer university team’s aim is making opposites ,being in and directing our lives, fit into a photo frame. “Black and White, Show Your Art” is a travelling summer university which will take place between 23 rd of August and 5 th of September while Ankara, Nevşehir and Amasra are the places which will be visited during Ankara part of this project, seminars about contrast in human(inty) and nature will be given with the essential photography education. Photographing contrasts in daily life( in our life) is expected from participants by using these education and composition knowledge during the part in Nevşehir and Amasra. Moreover, in Nevsehir and Amasra, there will be workshops about jobs like art of ebru, woodcrafting which are the jobs about to disappear. At the end of the project, the photos taken by participants will be displayed by an exhibition.

 AEGEE-Ankara (European Students' Forum) Human Rights Project Group (HRPG) continues to work on preparations for the project 'Living Library'. The project is going to take place in Middle East Technical University spring festival on 6-8 May. While the Human Rights Project Group speeds up its efforts for the promotional and logistics aspects of the event; It relentlessly keeps up the work for recruiting the books.
